While surfing the internet, I came across this article from an ASME page entitled “Design as a Differentiator for Success”, and thought it interesting as it shares about the importance of design as a tool to enhance profitability as opposed to the general idea that design is an expense to be minimized as much as possible. Indeed, one can easily pick a few brands that put to use design processes and shone from the competition. Brands like Apple, Starbucks and Netflix are some examples shown in the article.
